Custom Formulations
Ceramco manufactures OEM ceramic parts. It should not be surprising, therefore, that often we work with what one might consider OEM ceramic formulations. However, what may be “ custom” to others, are the very ceramic formulations Ceramco routinely uses every day.
Refractory Ceramics
Ceramco has a host of non-standard ceramic material formulations. Many are a refractory-type, as they are porous and ideally suited for applications exhibiting rapid heat cycling, including: furnace sleeves, kiln furniture and OEM setters or saggers.
Developed for previous applications and thoroughly documented, these blends are now used routinely for production and are available to satisfy any Ceramco customer parts order requiring a refractory-type ceramic. These formulations include:
- A9968 – 99% refractory alumina
- A9468 – 94% refractory alumina
- MUL6 – refractory Mullite
Please refer to our Materials and Their Properties chart for detailed information.
Other Ceramics & Non-oxide Materials
Ceramco can produce OEM ceramic parts from virtually any ceramic powder, or formulation thereof. Also, we work with non-oxide materials. As with the refractory ceramics (above) these other materials (developed and/or used for previous applications) are thoroughly documented and available to solve the challenge of future OEM ceramic parts orders.
Oxides
- A96P (pink 96% alumina)
- A96B (black 96% alumina)
- MUL6B (black Mullite)
- Refractory MgO (has alumina added)
- C-6 industrial porcelain
- A89590 adjustable porosity alumina (for filters)
- Translucent alumina
Non-oxides
- Silicon Nitride (Si3N4)
Please contact Ceramco for more information on these materials and their applicability.
People Making it Happen
